Somer Thompson disappeared on way home from school on Monday, and her mother Diena Thompson appeared on The Today Show this morning.
The mother had nothing to do with her daughter's disappearance. What she is showing is true emotion; she is experiencing and showing 'normal' reactions given the experience and circumstances.◦

Sad: Authorities have tentatively identified a body found in a landfill as that of 7-year-old Somer Thompson, a north Florida girl who disappeared on her walk home from school, the sheriff in charge of the case said Thursday.
The landfill is in Folkston, Ga., about 48 miles from where the girl disappeared.

Sorry, I hate to say it, but I disagree. She "sobs" a lot, but never sheds a tear. She dabs at eyes that do not have tears and sniffs a nose that isn't running. Not to mention that her face is calm and composed in the moments when she is not in front of the camera. Then suddenly she's "distraught" when the camera's are on. Lastly, how do you miss the toungue jut?
I have never heard someone who is faking crying, snort like she does toward the end of the tape. Her breathing is also labored. this was not a Susan Smith style of crying.
I don't think some of the best actors could consistently wipe away tears that were not there...
