Tiger Woods Statement: Is He Lying?
A security officer guards the area in front of Tiger Woods house in Windermere, FL where he crashed into a fire hydrant and a neighbor's tree early in the morning Friday, November 27, 2009.
Tiger's Statement:
As you all know, I had a single-car accident earlier this week, and sustained some injuries. I have some cuts, bruising and right now I'm pretty sore.
This situation is my fault, and it's obviously embarrassing to my family and me. I'm human and I'm not perfect. I will certainly make sure this doesn't happen again.
This is a private matter and I want to keep it that way. Although I understand there is curiosity, the many false, unfounded and malicious rumors that are currently circulating about my family and me are irresponsible.
The only person responsible for the accident is me. My wife, Elin, acted courageously when she saw I was hurt and in trouble. She was the first person to help me. Any other assertion is absolutely false.
This incident has been stressful and very difficult for Elin, our family and me. I appreciate all the concern and well wishes that we have received. But, I would also ask for some understanding that my family and I deserve some privacy no matter how intrusive some people can be.
My Analysis:
Tiger is in fact lying, or at the very least not telling us or the police the entire story. It is within his legal right to not speak with the state police, they have no jurisdiction. If he is smart he should not give any interviews and if he had been smarter he should have consulted with someone beyond his lawyers when preparing this statement, because there are definite flaws in his statement that led me to question even more what happened.
He states he has had an accident, then goes on and says, "I will certainly make sure this doesn't happen again."
If it was an accident then how does one go about making sure it will not happen again? Leads me to believe there is something within his control that contributed to the accident.
This lie can be best defined by a lie of omission: perhaps he did have a fight with his wife, or had been drinking, or any other things- since he is not telling us the entire story we have the luxury of filling in the blanks for him and allowing our imagination to run wild... my money is on, he let the family pet do the driving, or maybe this was an elaborate scheme to upset the folks at Buick who dropped him as a spokesman when the auto industry needed bailout money... or Cadillac paid him to do it for the publicity- I want a Cadillac now that I know that is what Tiger drives (well owns) not sure about the "driving" part. I'm just having fun, but this is an important concept when interrogating suspects, don't tell me the truth then you let someone else tell the judge what happened and from experience if you let a prosecutor tell the story they tend to paint a picture much worse than what actually happened. The truth is always the best way out.
Now onto the rumors... he states, "I understand there is curiosity, the many false, unfounded and malicious rumors that are currently circulating about my family and me are irresponsible."
What he doesn't say is the rumors are untrue or false, just they are "irresponsible." Rumors do not have the grammatical right to be "irresponsible" people only do. This part of the statement implies the rumors are false, but no where does he in fact state that they are false; he say many are false... which ones are true I'm wondering...
I like Tiger and always feel a bit uneasy whenever someone who is so famous cannot make a mistake like the rest of us, without it being the lead story on the news, especially since he appears to NOT be a guy who is seeking attention like some other celebs...◦

In The Definitive Book of Body Language it says an interested woman will gradually expose the smooth, soft underside of her wrists to the potential male partner and will increase the rate she flashes her wrists as her interest grows. The wrist area has long been considered one of the highly erotic areas of the female body because it is one of the more delicate skin areas.◦

Is Health Care Dead?
WASHINGTON - NOVEMBER 21: Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) (C) speaks at a news conference as Sen. Chris Dodd (D-CT) (R) and Sen. Tom Harkin (D-IA) look on following the Senate's cloture vote on health care reform legislation on Capitol Hill on November 21, 2009 in Washington, DC. The Senate approved the motion to bring the bill to a full debate on the floor of the Senate by 60-39 vote.
WASHINGTON - NOVEMBER 21: Sen. Mike Johanns (R-NE), along with Sens. George LeMieux (R-FL) (L) Richard Burr (R-NC) (2nd L), and Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) (R), speaks at a news conference regarding the Senate's health care reform bill on Capitol Hill on November 21, 2009 in Washington, DC.The Senate is expected to cast a procedural vote on the measure later today after Senate Democrats said they secured enough votes needed to propel major health care legislation to the floor for debate.
While I'm not a Doctor I can evaluate the state of the Health care Bill from a Facial Analysis perspective... There is huge concern over its well being.
Over the last several months I have seen several photographs from Capital Hill. When the health care chatter first started, with our legislative folks, there were a few smiles and neutral expressions- from both sides of the isle- in the last weeks you hardly ever see anything but negative expressions. I see everything from defeat, sadness, concern and several other negative emotion expressions.
From the look on their faces it is not a fun or rewarding job...
From the look on their faces they might want to see a doctor... I'll let you be the judge whether the care received would be better now or after the bill is law.◦

Evaluate Who is Most Likely to Escalate the Confrontation
AUCKLAND, NEW ZEALAND - NOVEMBER 21: A protestor is arrested after trying to disrupt the march up Queen Street as part of the Vote With Your Feet March on November 21, 2009 in Auckland, New Zealand. The March for Democracy was being held to protest against the Government's failure to respond to amending the anti-smacking legislation.
The protester is the least likely to escalate. Even though he is pointing, he is pointing to the torso which is less confrontational than pointing towards the face, there is also no muscle tightness in his hand and fingers. There is not the intensity in the eyes that we would expect from someone who is ready to fight. His mouth is relaxed and I could just as easily see him smiling after making his statement.
Now look at the officer-to the left- who is also speaking, tightness in lips; hand grabbing forearm. Notice the female officer in the background, subtle disgust...◦

Warning to All Parents
Something that has become all to clear in the last month, across the country, attempted abductions of children are up. I have to believe this is indirectly tied to:
-The mostly successful kidnapping pulled off by Phillip Garrido where he successfully kidnapped Jaycee Lee Dugard and held her for nearly two decades;
-The popularity of Dateline's To Catch a Predator series of investigating shows where they lure people to homes thinking they will have sex with underage girls;
-Several high profile missing, presumed abductions of, children without a single arrest in the last year.
While 99.9% of us find this repulsive, there is that small percentage of sickos who are inspired by this success and become inspired to act on their sick impulses.
I'm afraid this is not going to lessen in the coming months and years. In the area I live in, the amount of suspicious persons (strangers) speaking to children is on the rise according to local police- many of these sickos are in the beginning stages of working up to an actual abduction. On the local news almost every night there are reports of attempted abductions, and this is occurring across the country.

Obama's Bow Draws Both Respect and Criticism
U.S. President Barack Obama is greeted by Japanese Emperor Akihito and Empress Michiko upon arrival at the Imperial Palace in Tokyo November 14, 2009.
Pictures of the U.S. President Obama bowing deeply to Japanese Emperor Akihito during a state visit to Japan have incensed some commentators, who say the U.S. head of state should not lower his head before foreign crowned heads while experts in Japanese etiquette praised it as an appropriate show of respect.
Former Vice President Cheney said: "There is no reason for an American president to bow to anyone. Our friends and allies don't expect it, and our enemies see it as a sign of weakness."
In Japan, the lower you bow, the more respect you show, from a slight nod of the head to a lean forward of 30 degrees and -- the most respectful of all -- a deep bow bending at the waist by at least 45 degrees.
I will let you be the judge if the President of the United States is above adapting to this greeting in Japan. I do believe it is admirable for travelers to follow the country's protocol regarding gestures and social norms.
This is fundamental East vs West differences in gestures, and how gestures can reflect the personality and culture of the country.
For more information you could check out these books about gestures around the world, or specific to Japan, or check out your local library. I always check out my books before traveling to another country. In another post I will talk about the first time I was in a market in India where I mistook a nod of the head that meant 'yes' as 'yes but I do not want to and I will not give you the lowest price.'
Also in Japan, bowing can also represent an apology.◦

"Meaning?"
Any time you are asking a question of someone else and you want more information simply ask, "Meaning?"
"Meaning?" is a great way to illicit more information concerning the subject just spoken about. It is a fishing question.
Perhaps you are interviewing an applicant and they say, "My old boss and I had a great relationship."
"Meaning?"
Or you are interviewing someone who saw a shooting and they say, "Yeah that guy was bouncing up and down as he was yelling and then I heard a gunshot."
"Meaning?" at which point the witness may describe the guys behavior or may start talking more about who shot who.
When do you say "meaning?" It doesn't have to fit the situation, they will automatically feel the need to keep talking- regardless of what they just said.
"Looks like it is going to rain."

It is used best if the person has just stated a fact that does not necessary have anything to do with the current situation- extraneous information.◦

Whenever we hide our hands behind our back it must be evaluated in the context of what is occurring. This is a common pose amongst royalty, where they are secure enough not to worry about the frontal attack. When it is done to hide the hands it is a sign of unwillingness to be open, and since it would be hard to greet another with a handshake or hug it sends a signal that they would prefer to not speak.◦

Do Canadians Lie... You Bet Your Life They Do!
But probably not all that differently than anyone else...
Global Television and SRG conducted a comprehensive poll asking Canadians nationwide about their lying habits and truth be told, it looks like we're all a bunch of liars! And the survey says...
Lying vs. being lied to... the numbers just don't add up.
- 8 out of 10 Canadians believed they were lied to at least once in the
last week
- Only 6 out of 10 admitted to having told a lie in the same time
period
- INTERESTING STAT: With age comes honesty: 8 out of 10 people aged 18-
34 admitted to telling a lie in the last week compared to just half
of those aged 50+
What did Canadians say they are lying about...
- 24% - Money, salary and income
- 13% - How people look
- 11% - Hiding Ones True Feelings/Opinions
- INTERESTING STAT: Really? Only 10% say they lie about their age
Canadians can lie, but are not very good at it.
- Only 10% of Canadians think they could tell a lie and pass a lie
detector test
- INTERESTING STAT: The gender divide: Men are more likely to think
they could beat it. Of all those who said they could, 72% were men
and only 28% were women
It takes just one look... Canadians are honing their lie detection skills
by watching Lie To Me.
- 64% believe they can tell someone is lying based on their facial
expressions
- 87% think the eyes are the number one indication that some is lying

Obama's Familiar Boxer's Jog
TOKYO - NOVEMBER 13: U.S. President Barack Obama arrives at Tokyo International Airport on November 13, 2009 in Tokyo, Japan. Obama is in Japan for two days prior to attending the 17th APEC Economic Leaders' Meeting in Singapore.
Notice how Obama holds his hands, like a boxer- loose fists, moving them back and forth.
This is how Obama commonly enters into a spotlight situation and conveys a certain presence.
It most often occurs when he has to go up or down stairs to get on stage. Now I feel a little bit , ridiculous commenting on this, but it is different than the way most of us take stairs... we often have our hands out so we could steady ourselves with a railing.
What does this all mean... it conveys a certain amount of athleticism, and I can imagine him as a youngster who would overly use the hand rail and at a certain time, when he was much older and more confident he developed this movement style.
Now I still feel a bit ridiculous mentioning this, because it is not newsworthy, but now that we have established a baseline on the President, if we see him deviate from the baseline it could be newsworthy.◦

How Bad is the Pain?

Pain is relatively easy to measure. All you have to do is judge the tightness of the facial muscles, the tighter they are the more intense the pain. Take a look at the below photograph taken before the above photograph.
You can see there is more muscle pressure in her face.
You can see more intense pain in these photographs.
DOHA, QATAR - OCTOBER 29: Caroline Wozniacki of Denmark falls to the ground in pain from cramp against Vera Zvonareva of Russia in their round robin match during the Sony Ericsson Championships at the Khalifa Tennis and Squash Complex on October 29, 2009 in Doha, Qatar.

Since the center opened in May 2009 it has rehabilitated over 400 addicts in it's 100 bed facility.
There is one exception, which is not the case above in the above photographs, where the pain becomes so excruciating that the victim will go into shock, and this is natures way of shutting down pain receptors and often the tightness will be much less than you'd expect.◦

Survivor Samoa Episode 9 Another Great Tribal Council
Look at the intensity in Erik's eyes, watch how he holds his gaze for longer than would be normal. Then from the get go we get the fist pump, but this is not the fist pump for joy like we see from Tiger Woods when he sinks a putt, no this is acting out of anger. Then see Shambo gives us the microexpression of contempt.
When Jeff asks the old tribe about feeling welcome, notice how all three (you can see Russell is also in this stance) four are holding their hands clasped(about 2:30 into the video) this is a sign they are unwilling to talk openly. At 2:48 we see the elegant subtle expression of fear- look at her wide open eyes.
At 3:30 watch Jeff touch his nose when Jeff is asking him about his days being numbered. It could be that there was a piece of dirt there, but it also could be that he knew they were safe this evening. There are four nerve endings on the bridge of our noses that become irritated when we are under stress.
Timeout, I know everybody hates Russell, I was right there in the beginning, but let me tell you he played it perfectly when others were voting. Gazing to members of the other tribe, he was reading them...confirming they were voting for him... making sure they had to look away...
When Russell stands up to play the idol, watch it several times. You will see microexpressions of surprise, sadness, and fear at exactly 6:36.
Just enjoy the rest of the video...but I will leave with you with one thing that I cannot figure out, Dave. Watch him and he never shows negative gestures and body language at the prospect of what is occurring, he only shows surprise but no fear, sadness, no anger...◦

It is Time for Me to Talk About Sarah Palin
Visit msnbc.com for Breaking News, World News, and News about the Economy
It has been four months since Sarah resigned as Alaska's Governor. When she did on a Friday afternoon I wrote a little thing about her speech, I was stunned by the amount of hot spots and flags it raised. It was frankly too many to mention, and would have taken hours to dissect the speech and all the subtle and not so subtle things revealed between the lines.
In Palin's "Going Rogue," Palin confirms reports of tension between her aides and those of the 2008 Republican presidential candidate, Sen. John McCain. The vice presidential candidate confirms that she had wanted to speak on election night, but was denied the chance and says she was kept "bottled up" from reporters during the campaign.
I can now confirm that the reason she resigned was from pressure from within her own party. She says it herself in her resignation speech, if you closely examine her statement.
She states, "Some say things changed for me on August 29th last year - the day John McCain tapped me to be his running-mate - I say others changed."
"...it may be tempting and more comfortable to just keep your head down, plod along, and appease those who demand: "Sit down and shut up", but that's the worthless, easy path; that's a quitter's way out."
In the speech she continually states "no more politics as usual."
One of the things that jumped out at me when I first heard her resignation is "politics as usual" means personal attacks and complaints from the other party... that is politics as usual. The opposing party would always want her to "Sit down and shut up", so for it to now become relevant, it would have to be coming from her own party.
She states "...And this political absurdity, the "politics of personal destruction" which is kind of interesting she choose to say this cliche phrase since it is so negative and was made famous by Former President Bill Clinton during his administration and now infamous problems. Every Governor has to deal with there little nuisance complaints from the other side, it is part of politics as usual.
When I heard the speech I got the distinct impression when she said this, "...I WILL support others who seek to serve, in or out of office, for the RIGHT reasons, and I don't care what party they're in or no party at all. Inside Alaska - or Outside Alaska." This was the defining moment of the speech and signaled to me she would no longer serve in the public life as a politician, and it became clear that the thing that changed most for Sarah is the support of her own party. We have to also ask ourselves why does she feel the need to reference, "Inside Alaska - or Outside Alaska," it sends a big signal to her party at the national level, she is directly speaking to them at this point.
With hindsight, she was able to resign and used the time wisely to write a book and capitialize on her moment in presidential politics... and it appears to have worked since her books is in all the bestseller lists.◦

Check Out SubX-Subtle Expression Online Training
I have always stressed to anybody who has a interest in this area it is important to get micro expression and subtle expression training. For the longest time there was not an opportunity for people to get subtle expression training so a gap developed between those who received training several years ago and to those new to the field... now everyone can get training immediately! This is a big deal.
What is the neatest part of subtle expressions? You can actually see a subtle expressions on someone's face before they may even realize they are experiencing the emotion- the advance warning is measured in split seconds, but that is powerful if you are learning subtle expressions because you work in the security field.
Humintell's SubX Training features a post test, 13 instructional videos, practice test with 70 images and a post test. Score 80% on the post test at a speed of at least 200msec and receive a certificate of completion for your training. Here is a video Humitell has made available on uTube.
Check the software out online, at Humintell. Training is accessible 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. To purchase, or to try a free demo, go to
Humintell's Products Page.
In the coming weeks, I will be reviewing both the micro expression and subtle expression tools at Humintell.◦

Finger Pointing
We do not like people pointing a finger at us. Finger pointing is consider rude and almost always inappropriate. It is a dominant and aggressive gesture that we all feel uneasy about when we receive it. Finger pointing is often used to make an accusation. If it is you habit to point at others, you need to consciously change it to a hand point, even better if it is a hand chop.
Finger pointing is also a sign that the person who is pointing is experiencing a strong emotion and there is a great deal of intensity.◦

Mom of Murdered 7 Year Old on the Today Show
Visit msnbc.com for Breaking News, World News, and News about the Economy
As the investigation intensifies in the murder of Florida 7-year-old Somer Thompson, her mother Diena Thompson, speaks out about the tragedy. ...
I said it from the start, she had nothing to do with the disappearance of her daughter. Many people have said she was fake crying in some of the earlier interviews, I said 'NO' they were real tears ( I felt they were real because the timing of wiping was random and not during lulls in the conversation/interview which is often the case when faked).
We do not have much information and the police are releasing less than usual for such a high profile crime.
Here is what we know: Mother was at work at the time. The kids she normally walks home with lost sight of her 1-2 blocks from the school. She had to have cut through at least one backyard to get to their home, based on when she was last seen. There are 60+ registered sex offenders in a 3-5 mile area from where she was last seen. Victimology would suggest two things: random act of opportunity presented itself to a predator; or parent of the child she got into a physical fight with at school that day should be interviewed (not likely but parents do strange things to protect and help their own children, I'm sure the police did conduct an interview). It was not premeditated. It was not an accident where someone was covering up the accidental death up with abduction scheme. The reason she was found in the dump was, she was placed in a dumpster in Orange City and delivered to dump via regular trash pick up.
I will state again, to be very clear, the mother had nothing to do with it. The only hot spot from this interview is how she refers to the person(s) who did this terrible crime, at one point it is "thing" at another "they" lured her in a car, and lastly she states her daughter realized "he" was a danger. This could easily be explained, "a thing" is depersonalising the unsub, the reference to "they" could be from initial reports concerning two people attempting to speak with a random child sometime before her daughters disappearance (I believe the day or week before).
She still appears to be experiencing normal emotions as someone who lost her daughter who is getting a great deal of support from her community.◦

Andre Agassi on the Today Show
Visit msnbc.com for Breaking News, World News, and News about the Economy
I find Andre a great subject to study in this interview. I absolutely get stoked whenever I see someone like him who gives such small and subtle expressions. Even his picture on the cover of his book shows two subtle emotions (sadness and disgust) take a look here.
The only negative thing about the video is there are many times when they break away from the participants and show photographs from his past... and the camera is in too tight so we do not see his hands all that often.
As you watch the video watch for the following things:
- Swallowing
- Kicking foot when asked questions
- Biting bottom lip
- Bottom lip licking
- Small shaking of his head yes and no
- Hot spot when he talks about not being abused with his hands in front of his chest
- What is rehearsed (why he wrote the book) compared to other times
- Subtle disgust when asked about drug use
- Real smiles when speaking about his kids, his real smiles are one of the reason he is personable.
Have fun and enjoy the video.◦

Fingers in the Mouth
When you see fingers in the mouth you are seeing either:
1) A sexual gesture
2) The person is under pressure and it is an unconscious attempt to provide comfort, security, and reassurance. It reverts back to the time when we were babies. The meaning is the same even if it is not a finger, but a cigarette, cigar, pens, straws, etc.

Holding Emotions In...
Nov 10 2009
Army Spc. Chas Clark, who was wounded during a previous attack in Afghanistan, speaks on behalf of Spc. Jared Stanker, one of seven U.S. Army soldiers honored during a memorial service at Fort Lewis, Washington, Tuesday, November 10, 2009. The soldiers were killed by an IED in Afghanistan on October 27, 2009.
Take a look at the soldier in the background who is holding his hand in front of his mouth. I often see this immediately after a stressful or violent episode, here we see the soldier feeling internal stress and subconsciously he is controlling emotion.
Our mouths are the source of sound and it is the way we communicate. Subconciously we cover our mouths to control the emotion...even though there is not a direct correlation between our mouths and emotions... it does work.◦

Ft Hood Attend Memorial Services
Nov 10 2009
Army Soldiers stationed at Ft Hood attend memorial services for the slain soldiers at Ft Hood in Killeen, Texas on November 10, 2009. It was estimated that over 5,000 people of the military and civilians from the surrounding area attended the services. Among those present were The President and first Lady Barack Obama, the Governor of Texas Rick Perry, The Secretary of Defense Robert Gates, solider's that were wounded in the attack. UPI/Ron Russek II Photo via Newscom
Obviously an emotional time for all of us. We cannot see exactly what he is doing with his hand... it could be as simple as wiping a tear away, it could be that he is pinching the bridge of his nose to provide self comfort...
What is clear is he is using the lip of his cap and possibly his hand to eye block. The motivation could be that he does not want others to see his emotion and/or he simply does not like what he is seeing and gives himself a small break by not looking at the memorial.◦

John McCain's Tounge Jut
Tongue-jutting behavior is a gesture used when we think they have gotten away with something or are "caught" doing something.
Depending on the context of the situation it is most associated with:
- I got caught
- Gleeful excitement
- I got away with something
- I did something foolish
- I am naughty◦

Lying, Cheating and Stealing
Would you sample a grape in the produce aisle without paying for it? Would you notify the cashier if she undercharged you? NPR's Susan Stamberg poses these and similar questions to shoppers at a supermarket. She then talks to Tom Morris, a self-described "public philosopher," about supermarket ethics, and ethics in the wider world. Morris, a former philosophy professor at Notre Dame, explains why he thinks taking even one grape in the supermarket "makes you a thief."◦

New Book Just Released! Pragmatics and Non-Verbal Communication
The way we say the words we say helps us convey our intended meanings. Indeed, the tone of voice we use, the facial expressions and bodily gestures we adopt while we are talking, often add entirely new layers of meaning to those words. How the natural non-verbal properties of utterances interact with linguistic ones is a question that is often largely ignored. This book redresses the balance, providing a unique examination of non-verbal behaviours from a pragmatic perspective. It charts a point of contact between pragmatics, linguistics, philosophy, cognitive science, ethology and psychology, and provides the analytical basis to answer some important questions: How are non-verbal behaviours interpreted? What do they convey? How can they be best accommodated within a theory of utterance interpretation?◦

The Lip Pout
When we push the lower lip against the upper upper lip and the lower lip moves out it is a look of disappointment, displeasure, sadness, or uncertainty.
I have seen this in business settings when someone doesn't like what is being said to another and the chin points out towards the offender.
Children can use it to show frustration when their requests are not honored. It is probably most often noticed when someone is using this gesture to plead for 'something' for both children and adults.◦

Survivor Samoa Episode 8
0:08 We see contempt, moving one side of her mouth to the side.
2:05 We see Monica shrug with only one shoulder.
2:07 We see Erik raise his eyebrows and you can see lines laterally across his forehead, this is sarcasm as she says you never know who to trust.
2:28 Erik begins speaking and once again alienates himself again because he is over confident. If you are a someone who wants to play the game of Survivor, watch the reaction of the others (especially from his old tribe) this should have been a clue to him of what was coming. If you make it on the show, watch the reactions at the tribal consoles! Shrugs, lick licking and lip piercing, and the micro expression of disgust can all be seen.
3:01 Russell answers the question well to start with, but he should not have said that Erik will be surprised. Russell's biggest liability is his pride (in his game)gets in the way and he reveals too much.
Had Erik paid more attention to reactions of others, especially his former tribe members he might have realized his fate, and may have played the idol. I even saw one former tribe member walk more slowly to the area where you write the votes... everything matters.
Then fast forward to the reading of the votes, study Erik... you can see him thinking and understanding. Watch the emotion drain from his face, thinking, ever so subtle sadness in his mouth and subtle surprise in his eyes.
Watch the others react as he leaves: shame, happiness, sadness, and contempt.◦

Rihanna Breaks Her Silence
The singer tells ABC's Diane Sawyer she feels ashamed about falling for Chris Brown and says she left him as an example to other young women who might be in abusive relationships. (Nov. 5)
I have seen the full video, beyond what I show here, and here are my thoughts.
She is truly embarrassed (which she should not be) about the situation she currently is in and accepts some of the responsibility for being in love with a man who could hurt her- in this clip you can see this by the lack of eye contact with Diane. In the full interview she tends to look down and to her right, which is often where we look when we are accessing the emotional part of our brain. She likely still feels guilty for have some feelings for him. The slight downward tilting of her head could be an expression of shame.
As someone who analyzes violence in couples, the biggest predictor of future violence is previous violence and there is no "mold" for an abuser. Having seen people "take him back" this likely may have had a different outcome had it not been in the public eye. She is doing the right thing!
There is a hot spot where she shakes her head "no" when she is stating she didn't realize how much of an impact she has on these girl's lives- she always realized she was having an impact but now the impact could have consequences (instead of guiding their fashion choices) for their safety.
I had a past post with Chris Brown where he appeared on Larry King.◦

Rep. Barney Frank's Props or Gestural Slip?
WASHINGTON - NOVEMBER 3: Rep. Barney Frank (D-MA) speaks during a news conference on Capitol Hill November 3, 2009 in Washington, DC. Rep. Barney Frank (D-MA) held the news conference to speak to reporters about the pending mark up of regulatory reform legislation for the American financial industries. (Photo by Brendan Smialowski/Getty Images).
Glasses are props, and we will fiddle with them when bored, to draw attention to them (instead of the conversation) or ourselves. We could clean them when we are hearing something we do not like...
Notice what finger stands out as he adjusts his glasses? Yes the naughty one... If you wear glasses be sure to not push them up on your nose with this finger... at the very least it could send a message you do not want to send.◦

WASHINGTON - NOVEMBER 03: Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) speaks at a news conference on Capitol Hill on November 3, 2009 in Washington, DC. Reid discussed efforts to pass health care reform legislation. (Photo by Brendan Hoffman/Getty Images)
This is an unconsciously gesture people use when under stress.
When people lie often there is a slight rise in body temperature, people feel "hot under the collar" and this gesture is done to relieve some of the heat.
When someone is holding back information people will tug at their collar because they may feel a a little tickle on the sensitive neck tissue.
If a person is angry or frustrated this gesture could be used in an attempt to remove any restrictions, also because the blood pressure and body temperature are on the rise.◦

Scratching the side of your neck is a sign of doubt or uncertainty and is very noticeable to others when you are saying something you not not believe in your words.
You will now be able to catch the contradiction when the words are not matching the gesture.

I see this gesture almost everyday from politicians. They are symbolically holding an issue or problem in their hands.
Here are a few more that were shown in the last week...
WASHINGTON - OCTOBER 29: U.S. Secretary of the Treasury Timothy F. Geithner speaks during a hearing of the House Financial Services Committee on Capitol Hill October 29, 2009 in Washington, DC. My advice to those who use this gesture is, as you are talking about the issue, slowly bring your hands together, it will convey you have control over the issue, then clasp your hands together symbolically squishing the problem.◦
