A housekeeping manager at a luxury hotel next to Central Park has been arrested in the death of a woman who was found in a room strangled with a knife sticking from her neck, police said on Sunday. (Sept. 21)
Nothing hidden in this video, but I wanted you to hear something. A older blond woman is interviewed towards the end of the video. After every statement she asks, "Right?"
Now I believe this to be just a habit for her... but had she been a suspect or person of interest (which she is not) this type of asking for reassurance after a statement is a sign of deception- In this particular case she needs for us to accept that it is a place where important or special people stay and she is wanting the feedback that this is the case- a statement should stand on it's own merit we shouldn't need feedback from others immediately after a statement is made.
If someone was lying in a statement, it might be natural for them to illicit feedback that puts them at ease, and lets them know that they are being believed.
You could probably think of other words that would have the same effect like, See? You know what I mean? You know? Understand?◦
