When watching a tennis match identify the baseline expression on the player's forehand and backhand. They rarely change and from the expression you can generally understand their internal motivation, some players strike the ball in anger, disgust, or fear as we can see from this series of pictures.

BRISBANE, AUSTRALIA - JANUARY 03: Marinko Matosevic of Australia plays a forehand in his qualifying match against Samuel Groth of Australia during day one of the Brisbane International 2010 at the Queensland Tennis Centre on January 3, 2010 in Brisbane, Australia.
Tennis is one of the unique sports where the top players can receive money by simply participating. Occasionally players will take advantage of the situation and will not play with the same intensity because they are tired, road weary, or simply want to be elsewhere. You can usually pick up on this by the strength of the expressions while hitting the ball.
Having some facial expression training can add to the depth of the tennis match, as you will be able to identify areas of their game where the players struggle or are at ease. It adds flavor to the highs and lows, and helps to better define the battle between competitors over the course of a drawn out match.◦
