Diana Thompson: Update

After 7-year-old Somer Thompson vanished on her way home from school, several days later Somer Thompson's small body was found in a landfill. Investigators presumably tried to pinpoint the trash bin or garbage can where she was dumped, based on the trash around her and the truck's pickup route.

Please Note: I have been clear from the start that her mother had nothing to do with her murder.

Police have questioned more than 155 registered sex offenders in the area so far. State online records show a remarkably large number of sex offenders — 88 — live in Orange Park.

This week authorities are calling Jarred Harrell a "person of interest" in the murder of 7-year-old Somer Thompson. Jarred Harrell is a former neighbor of the Thompson's.

Offenders changes include leaving the area unexpectedly, missing work or routine engagements, having unexplained injuries and having an unnatural interest in the status of the investigation. It is common in cases where there is little convictable evidence to watch suspects closely and zero in on people who make changes to their appearance, life, and location of residence.

In the short term all the suspects and registered sex offenders were asked about their whereabouts on the day of the abduction, and if they reported to work in the days immediately after the abduction- many people will call in sick and not report to work either because their victim is still alive and being brutalized and/or they are too "amped" up to do something as ordinary as work after such a "high" experience.

I am working on a article, "DIENA THOMPSON: Her Daughter's Killers Through Diena's Mind's Eye." I have noticed something from the initial interviews with Diena, it was something that is normally a hot spot, but I didn't take it a sign of deception; but I could not explain it logically. It will take a little bit of research and reviewing previous interviews before I will release the article.

I will be very interested to read your article on this subject. I have followed this case from the start, and have also said from the beginning that Diena Thompson is completely innocent.

This lady is very strange. Just a couple of days after the suspect Harrell was charged with her daughter's murder, she held yet another fundraiser at the Jacksonville Landing, charging $20 per person. Also, they are now selling cd's of a song for Somer in the local Walmart. Why all of this fundraising? The child's father is having a much more "normal" reaction to everything that is going on.
