Intensity in the eyes, baring of teeth, and tilting of the head signals impending danger. It is obvious there is anger, but the tilting of the head is the key signal to a individual getting ready to strike.
When a person tilts their forehead forward it is for one reason: to protect the more sensitive parts of the face in a physical confrontation.
You will see boxers and wrestlers do this... protecting the jaw.◦

Daniel Jackson Dangerous Intent Facial Expression

Daniel Jackson of the Tigers remonstrates with Jordie McKenzie of the Demons after he clashed with Ben Nason of the Tigers during the round four AFL match between the Richmond Tigers and the Melbourne Demons at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on April 18, 2010 in Melbourne, Australia.
Even though the violence has already began, rest assured this is the same expression he had on his face immediately prior to the confrontation. See the intensity in the eyes, nature like exposing of the teeth, forward leaning head, all sign to be on the lookout for when evaluating if a person is ready to strike out.◦

See the anger and intensity in the eyes, see the titled forward head, and see the lips pulled back exposing the teeth.◦

Serving Our Country Series: Gestures Have Meaning

LT. Kimo Bandmann of Utah with the 405 Civil Affairs Unit and part of a Provincial Reconstruction Team (PRT),speaks with residents during a visit to the village of Pushtay January 9, 2010 in Pushtay, Afghanistan. Soldiers, from Forward Operating Base (FOB) Orgun-E in Paktika Province, went to the village to inquire about their needs and concerns.
Having recently watched 'The Hurt Locker' it brings home the importance of being able to quickly and accurately 'read people' where the stakes of not being able to accurately identify emotion, intent, and threat of danger can mean you are dead. I leave politics totally aside in this series, the men and women who serve in highly dangerous arenas are not thinking about politics when they are being placed in these situations, they are thinking only of survival. Over the course of the next several months I will post articles that will directly address the challenges of "reading people" who are serving overseas.
In this particular situation we see LT. Kimo Bandmann speaking with a villager. The villager has his arms crossed, which generally means a lack of wanting to participate, and at the same time seems to have a pleasant smile on his face.
It is always disconcerting when you are in a potentially dangerous situation and you cannot see their hands. It would be wise to control the situation and ask to see their hands. This is not always possible in "social situations" but it is safer.
More "aggressive" gestures are allowable in the middle east, where people expect dominant people in positions of power to display their 'right' to dominance and control. To not show some dominance is a sign of weakness. This often comes into conflict with those that have been taught to be polite, regardless of the situation. LT. Kimo Bandmann is showing some dominance by the way he his holding one hand higher and in a modified pointing manner.◦

Raw Video: Pope Knocked Down at Christmas Mass
A woman jumped the barriers in St. Peter's Basilica and knocked down Pope Benedict XVI as he walked down the main aisle to begin Christmas Eve Mass on Thursday.
The Pope's security gets a B-; thankfully she did not have a weapon or deadly intent. The actions of the security person that tackled the women was the highlight of the security detail, he moved without hesitation. They should learn from this that they need be more forward.
Unfortunately we do not have pictures or video from the other angle, it would be nice to see her face to see if it showed some of her intent.
From the current angle we do see some of her intent, she is leaning forward, hands on the barrier like a cat ready to jump.
I'm not clear on the details of the barrier jumper, Susanna Maiolo, there are some reports that she had been involved in another previous incident. I do not know if this is true, but if it is, then the grade for the security goes down.
A Vatican spokesman said the girl was "apparently unbalanced," but they would be "very lenient" with her and she would be pardoned. This is a mistake. I can list well over a dozen "stars" that have unbalanced people intruding in their lives, of which at least two unbalanced people would do harm to them if they had a chance. Any sign of aggression cannot be ignored.
There seems to be an increase in stalking and attacks on those in the public eye- to those who provide security- be on alert. The publicity seems to encourage others into action.◦

Where is Dangerous Waldo?
A massive demonstration in support of reformist candidate Mir Hossein Mousavi is formed as supporters gather on the streets of Tehran to demonstrate against the results of the Iranian presidential election, in Tehran, Iran on June 15, 2009. The march came hours after Iran's supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei ordered an examination into election fraud.
There are several things you could look for if you were in charge of security and evaluating who is most likely to erupt in violence.
This situation is tenuous at best, and as we later learn violence did indeed breakout. Crowd hysteria and/or mob violence is the most serious and dangerous of situations and once a crowd become violent it often leads to the most serious of man versus man assaults; where whatever had brought them together is soon forgotten and the strong pounce on the weak regardless of ideology or sides. It becomes an opportunity to inflict pain on another human simply because the adrenaline is present and the opportunity has presented itself.
I see one person who is a threat. I have placed an explanation in the comments, and I will outline what to look for...◦
