I have noticed Russian politicians do carry themselves with a certain old school strength and aggressiveness, which likely works well within their own country, but would not work as well with leaders of other countries. ◦

Theres something i dont quite get with Dmitrys body language,

Hes sitting forward out of his seat leaning into the coversation in an agressive manner, left arm raised as he makes his point.

But his right arm is face down on the table.
Looks almost unnatural the way its there.

Is this because its power play? Does Dmitry have no actual belief in his own words? or is he basically trying to out power Nizhni?

If it was true agression surely his free hand would be clenched.
Or if he believed in his words, his right hand would be involved.

Theres just something Half casual about his body language.

Nizhni looks almost like he's trying not to react. Poker faced almost.

Guess id need to see a video to see for sure.

Medvedev's on the left, not on the right. Indeed you need to see the video not just a single frame to understand what's going on.
And the whole thing is staged anyway. I suggest you watch some excerpts from Putin's 'direct line' 'conversation with the nation'(which is staged too but they can't foresee everything and Putin's reaction to such unforeseen events is worth watching).
