Nothing says, "I'm sorry" better than roses.
Receiving flowers is a common thread amongst those who are abused by their partner; and sending flowers is an effort for the abuser to apologize to the victim.
Now, please do not think that your coworker who received flowers is being abused, it doesn't work like that.
Most abusers actually feel remorse for their behavior and send flowers to make up for the pain they have created. The problem is not the flowers, the problem is they do not have the skills to control their behavior(s) and often times are repeating their own familial patterns that they experienced. It is difficult to break the cycle.
They will send flowers in the most public way, for instance sending them to their place of work. This way the abuser will unwittingly get others on his side, as the coworkers tell her how great of a guy he is.
If you are in a relationship where the highs are higher and the lows are lower, and there has been any sign of violence YOU ARE IN A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION THAT MAY RESULT IN YOUR DEATH.
If you see flowers and a bruise or other strange marks on a friend or family member's body, this is a signal that there MAY be something wrong and dangerous with her situation.
Most abusers do not abuse in a premeditated way, they do so as a result of unable to deal with some sort of event- not necessary related to their partner's action.
While there are warning signs of agitation, stress, built up energy- many times there is not time to react to these signs and RUN. The one thing you cannot do is control another person's behavior and even trying can lead to consequences.◦

Jerry Lewis is fooling around and giving one of his signature faces, disgust.
See how the nose moves up, and the upper lip also moves upward.
The face of disgust actually serves the purpose of closing the nasal cavity so we cannot smell something disgusting. We show the face of disgust subconsciously whenever we feel disgust regardless if it actually smells.
The only thing that is not normal in this picture is the tongue jut- if we do not want to smell something disgusting we certainly do not want to taste it either.◦

Big Brother
I do not comment on this show in the beginning stages of the show because there isn't all that much deception, but towards the end it gets brutal.
In last nights show there was the lie that almost brought someone down... and it was unnecessary and stupid. If you didn't see it take a look, Big brother
NataLIE for some reason felt it necessary to lie about Pandora's Box door.
Kevin sees the Pandora’s Box door and wants to know what’s up. Natalie tells them she got “screwed royally” before spinning a ridiculous and confusing lie about how the winning vote will be reversed. She also tells them she won’t be playing the Veto.
Kevin immediately knows something is up, he might be a natural wizard- someone with no training can tell if someone is lying. He picks up on that she's lost the game and she is not upset. “Instantly I’m thinking, ‘bitch you’re lying,’” Kevin says. Natalie keeps up the bad lie, which only makes Kevin more suspicious. “No, wench, please,” he says in Diary Room. “Something good came out of this and you got it.”
Outside, Kevin, Jordan and Michele regroup. Kevin tells them Natalie is lying. Natalie then comes outside and announces she will no longer talk about anything dealing with Pandora’s Box. “Don’t ask me about it.” How is that not going to send red flags!
Natalie goes inside, where she is followed by Kevin, who wants to know the truth. In the HoH Suite Kevin notes that if Natalie was really told about the “vote reversal” she would be breaking windows in anger. Natalie realizes she needs to come clean and make it all seem like a fun joke.
Natalie then comes downstairs and tries to make it all light and funny, but Michele and Jordan patiently wait for some sort of answer from her. Natalie then swears on her life she got 20 minutes with her boyfriend and she is now engaged. She shows them the twisty tie, which just makes Kevin suspicious. “Are you still getting us?” Kevin asks as Natalie tries to laugh it all off. Michele decides she is living in a bizzaro world while Natalie thinks she ‘s barely gotten herself out of hot water. Kevin is just pissed—how many lies can Natalie possibly tell?
I wish they allowed embedding, I saw the expression of anger, fear and surprise when she tried to play off that joke.
What could be learned, Kevin should have kept this information closer to the vest and used it at the right time. Countless times I have stated ,once you know someone is lying the worst thing to do is immediately confront them... let them go on and continue to learn what you can and choose the right time to confront.◦

They are commonly known.
They convey a specific idea, thought, or emotion to the receipient.
The best example is the thumbs up gesture that means "okay" in the United States only.
Common emblems gestures are shoulder shrugging, headshakes, and haed nods.◦

What we see here is the victorious sportsman, especially combined with the number one gesture.
This gesture is also seen with the politician after an election win.
It makes the already dominant and victorious appear even more taller and brings attention to oneself.◦

Stacy Keibler Knows How to Change the Shape of Her Body in Photographs

Here we see a couple of things that anybody that is being photographed and want to make certain parts of their body smaller can do.
First, notice the angles created by her left arm and her legs- this adds interest to the photograph.
By placing her feet together, and one in front of the other it also adds interest, but more importantly adds "interest" to her legs and hips.
She has turned her hips slightly to minimize their width.
See how she holds her torso off angle to minimize her waist.
By squaring her shoulders to the camera, she has made this the biggest part of her body. This makes everything else seem smaller. Models have always know if they can twists their hips and square their shoulders they will appear to have a smaller waist and hip area.

I thought this was some sort of parlor trick and it cannot have any validity to it, then I found the explanation... and it is based on psychology!?!?
Are you a good liar? Most people think that they are, but in reality there are big differences in how well we can pull the wool over the eyes of others. There is a very simple test that can help determine your ability to lie. Using the first finger of your dominant hand, draw a capital letter Q on your forehead.
Some people draw the letter Q in such a way that they themselves can read it. That is, they place the tail of the Q on the right-hand side of their forehead. Other people draw the letter in a way that can be read by someone facing them, with the tail of the Q on the left side of their forehead. This quick test provides a rough measure of a concept known as "self-monitoring". High self-monitors tend to draw the letter Q in a way in which it could be seen by someone facing them. Low self-monitors tend to draw the letter Q in a way in which it could be read by themselves.
High self-monitors tend to be concerned with how other people see them. They are happy being the centre of attention, can easily adapt their behaviour to suit the situation in which they find themselves, and are skilled at manipulating the way in which others see them. As a result, they tend to be good at lying. In contrast, low self-monitors come across as being the "same person" in different situations. Their behaviour is guided more by their inner feelings and values, and they are less aware of their impact on those around them. They also tend to lie less in life, and so not be so skilled at deceit.

Here we see Jason cover his mouth when someone else has said something. If we are talking and cover our mouth it is a sign we didn't (or couldn't believe) just say that; we also do this same thing when other say things we cannot believe or rather not of heard. Surprise is show when Jason raises his eyebrows.
Now in this example it is obvious, but covering the mouth while others are talking is more common in subtle ways that go unnoticed. I would often lunch at a place where I could see 50-100 different people eating and as I scanned the room it wasn't often that I did not see this occurring at any given time.◦
