The White House Obama Weekly Address Analysis

The President was NOT EXCITED at all during the conversation. It looks like the President didn't want to talk about some of the issues. The President was not thinking too intensely when speaking. The President may be taking this address lightly. The President used his normal gestures during the converstation. The speech was rehearsed.

At exactly 2:20 right before the change of camera, for a micro second, he becomes highly stressed and shows slight anger with his eyes, I believe the cut may be because he lost his space that was later edited out, hense the change in camera angle.

At 2:32 there is a slight turning of his head when he says it is paid for by the polluters; when he says things like this he show slight sadness by lowering the insides of his eyebrows.

At 2:40 when speaking about rural farmers he slightly puts his head back and his voice shows some confusion during this time.

At the point when he states the cost being around a postage stamp, he perches forward with his head, it is like he is saying he is not exactly sure about the cost.

When he thanks Congress it is genuine, but when he says "support" he once again shows signs that he is not sure about "support." There could be some things we are unaware of concerning members of congress who might not have been as supportive.

When he says we cannot be afraid of the future, he is under a great deal of stress, then when he is speaking about misinformation, his voice slows, deepens, both signs of confusion. It is quite different from the norm/baseline- I believe this is a strong signal. The future is a concern of his and it guides his decisions.

At 3:44, he is truly concerned about our security, and this is a stress for him.

At 4:15 his tone drastically changes when he is speaking about the senate. He slows down the pace of his talking. The President is not sure this is possible.◦
