In India a customary greeting is called a namaste, and it involves bowing slightly or nodding while holding your hands together below your chin. This gesture has moved outward to other countries and has morphed into what we see here. It is a cross between the namaste and the all powerful prayer gesture that shows "devotion" and strong emotions.◦
